6/16/2010 - NEW BR300 bottom side selective soldering robot

mta automation ag, world wide market leader in selective soldering, has developed an innovative BR300 robot for bottom side selective soldering. The soldering operations are conveniently carried out by mta’s iron or laser technologies. Solder and flux are applied via automatic wire feeding, which is controlled and monitored for consistent application.

Of specific advantage, when compared to conventional selective bottom side soldering machines (ie. Miniwave), includes the ability to access small keep out areas between pins and surrounding components. This brings new possibilities in the design of PCB's. Furthermore, the cycle times are shorter, especially with a small quantity of pins, as neither preheating nor flux application are necessary. When using the BR300 soldering robot, the flexibility of customer’s production is extremely increased and this with lower production costs and much smaller investments.

This BR300 robot is suitable for the PCB industry, either for offline solutions or inline with SMEMA interface. Furthermore, the robot is available with various working envelopes to fit footprint and application requirements. Further options include automatic solder inspection, automatic placement of components and many others.

The Productronica exhibition takes place in Munich (Germany) from Tuesday 10th to Friday 13th November and mta is present on stand n° 478 in hall A4.

During this exhibition, we introduce some new products such as:

7/26/2006 - mta is celebrating its 40th birthday…

Created on 26th of July 1966, mta automation ag whose main activity was design, production and marketing of equipment for the watch-making industry, is celebrating its 40th birthday.

During all these years, the company endeavours to adapt its activities to the market developments and the customer needs. Today, mta is able to propose turnkey solutions in the assembly, micro-soldering and micro-dispensing domains to numerous companies worldwide working in industries such as automotive, electronics, medical, telecommunications, watch-making and household appliances.

In order to celebrate this event, a party will be organised on Saturday 2nd of September on mta site for all personnel together with their families.
 

6/22/2006 - PBT In-house SMT Exhibition and Seminar in Czech Republic

Machine manufacturers as well as being representative for several companies in the Czech Republic including mta automation ag, PBT organised an in-house SMT Exhibition and Seminar which took place on 13th and 14th June in Roznov. All companies were presented and mta TR300 iron soldering table-top robot was exhibited which was of great interest to the customers. This successful event welcomed 120 Czech customers.

4/11/2006 - New project department manager

Mr. Yves Tabasso joins mta automation ag and occupies the newly created function of project department manager. Furthermore he will be part of the Management Team. Holding an ETS Engineering Diploma in Mechanics, he worked as project manager for various companies in the automated assembly industry. He also worked in the development and production of optical fibre cables.

Like in the previous years, the Oktober Fest was sponsored by mta automation and its partner and distributor Global Automation and took place on Wednesday, September 28.

Over 300 visitors joined us to enjoy a beer and the lively "oom-pah" music.
